Payments Processing times
Processing times depend on your payment method and when you authorise. To make sure your bills land on time, authorise payments at least 3 business days before the due date.
| Payment method | Processing time | Authorise before |
|---|---|---|
| Credit card | 1–2 business days | 5:45pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri (Some payments require review before processing. Authorise before this time to meet your estimated remittance date) |
| Bank account — PayTo enabled | Same day | 2pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri |
| Bank account — Standard processing | 2–3 business days | 7:15pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri |
| PayID | Same day | 2pm AEST/AEDT, Mon–Fri (funds must also be transferred by 2pm) |
After-hours and public holiday payments
Payments submitted after cut-off times, on weekends, or on NSW/national public holidays will be processed on the next business day. Cut-off times above are Sydney/Melbourne time.
Track your payment as it processes
You can see a step-by-step timeline for every payment. Click any transaction row and open the Updates tab to see exactly which step your payment is at, including the expected delivery date once it's authorised.
When will your payee receive the funds?
Once a payment is remitted, your payee will receive an automatic remittance advice email (if you've added an email to their payee profile). Funds are typically received between 2pm and 8pm AEST/AEDT on the day of remittance, but this can vary.
You can also check payment status anytime via Payment History. Learn more about remittance advice.
Estimated remittance date
The estimated remittance date shows when we expect to send your payment on to your payee. It shows when you create the payment and in the Updates tab once your payment is authorised. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.
- Domestic payments: we work out the date from your payment method and the time you authorise.
- International payments: we show a date range. We also use the currency, the day of the week, and public holidays. International payments made before 28 October 2026 and still in processing keep their original estimated date. See how we work out your date.
To check the estimated date for an approved payment, go to Payments > Outgoing transactions and select the payment in question.
