PayTo
Same-day payments
Who can use this feature?
All account owners and administrators
Requires a PayTo-supported bank account
If your bank account is eligible for PayTo, you can enable same-day payment processing on pay.com.au. There are two parts: enabling PayTo in your settings, then upgrading your bank account in your Wallet.
Part 1 — Enable PayTo in Settings
- 1 Navigate to Settings.
- 2 Click Payments.
- 3 Toggle on Same-day payments (PayTo). If it's already on, proceed to Part 2.
Part 2 — Upgrade your bank account
- 1 Navigate to your Wallet.
-
2
Select Upgrade on the account you want to use for same-day payments.
Can't see "Upgrade"?
Go to Settings > Payments and confirm the PayTo toggle is on. If Upgrade still doesn't appear, your bank account may not be supported for PayTo.
- 3 Set a transaction limit. This must be equal to or less than your bank's daily PayTo limit. Contact your bank to confirm this figure. All individual payments must be under this limit — you can make unlimited payments as long as each one stays within it.
-

Accept the terms and conditions and select Send Request.
- If your account is PayTo-enabled, a PayTo agreement will be sent to your banking app.
- If your account is not PayTo-enabled, same-day payments won't be available for this account.
- 5 Open your banking app, navigate to your PayTo agreements, and accept the pay.com.au agreement. You have 5 days to accept — after that, the agreement expires and you'll need to start again.
Your bank account is now upgraded. Payments authorised before 2pm AEST/AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne), Monday to Friday, will be processed on the same day.
CBA customers — first payment note
First-time PayTo payments from a CBA account may be held for 24 hours by CBA. If this happens, your payment will be remitted the next business day.
