PayTo is a digital payment solution that lets you authorise a business — like pay.com.au — to debit your bank account in real time. Instead of standard bank processing (2–3 days), PayTo payments are processed on the same day they're authorised.
PayTo payments authorised before 2pm AEST/AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne time), Monday to Friday, are processed the same day. Anything after 2pm is processed the next business day.
You can view and manage all your PayTo agreements — including your pay.com.au agreement — directly in your banking app.
PayTo availability depends on your bank and account type. The network is expanding. In the meantime, standard bank account payments still work — they just take 2–3 business days. Check which banks are currently supported here.
