PayTo is a digital payment solution that lets you authorise a business — like pay.com.au — to debit your bank account in real time. Instead of standard bank processing (2–3 days), PayTo payments are processed on the same day they're authorised.
PayTo payments authorised before 2pm AET (Sydney/Melbourne time), Monday to Friday, are processed the same day. Anything after 2pm is processed the next business day.
You can view and manage all your PayTo agreements — including your pay.com.au agreement — directly in your banking app.
PayTo availability depends on your bank and account type. The network is expanding. In the meantime, standard bank account payments still work — they just take 2–3 business days. Check which banks are currently supported here.
