If you are getting a lot of pay.com.au emails, the Notification Centre gives you back control. Account owners can turn off up to 80% of payment-related emails โ so the messages that matter actually get noticed. You'll still see everything inside the platform, nothing gets lost.
There are two things the Notification Centre does:
In-platform notifications โ a running log of payment activity, visible to all users via the bell icon in the top right of the platform.
Email preferences โ account owners can choose which of those notifications also arrive by email. Toggle them on or off at any time.
Turning off an email notification doesn't remove it from the Notification Centre. You'll always have a full activity log inside the platform โ the toggle only controls whether it also lands in your inbox.
How to view your notifications
All users can see notifications by clicking the bell icon in the top right of the platform. This opens a side panel with your latest payment activity.
How to access Notification Centre settings
Only account owners can access settings. There are two ways to get there.
Via the bell icon:
- 1 Click the bell icon in the top right of the platform.
- 2 Click the settings (gear) icon in the notification panel.
Via profile settings:
- 1 Click the person icon in the top right of the platform.
- 2 Select Profile, then choose Notifications from the left-hand menu.
How to update your notification preferences
In the Notification Centre settings, you'll see a list of payment-related notifications. Each one has a toggle โ blue means on, grey means off.
- 1 Find the notification you want to change.
- 2 Click the toggle to turn it on or off.
- 3 Changes save automatically โ no need to confirm.
Business-critical notifications โ such as payment failures and security alerts โ are always on. These can't be toggled off to make sure you never miss something urgent.
