Payments
Most businesses use pay.com.au to earn points on outgoing payments — supplier invoices, ATO bills, super, rent. But there's another earning opportunity hiding in plain sight: your credit card repayment.
Your credit card bill is paid via BPAY. That means it can be routed through pay.com.au — and when it is, you earn PayRewards Points on the repayment itself. And if you've already built up a PayRewards balance, you can use those points to settle the bill entirely. It's one more way your business pays you back.
How it works
Credit card repayments are processed via BPAY — each card issuer has a Biller Code and your account number is your reference. Pay.com.au supports BPAY payments, which means you can route your repayment through pay.com.au and earn PayRewards Points on that transaction.
Step 1 — Add your credit card as a payee
Your credit card's payment instructions are on your credit card statement — they're typically BPay details. Add these to your Payees list first.
See How to manage payees for a step-by-step guide.
Step 2 — Set up your payment method
Credit card reimbursements must be paid from your bank account
This type of payment can only be funded from a linked bank account (direct debit) or via PayID — not from another credit card.
Choose one of the following options:
Add your bank account as a payment method under Wallet. We'll direct debit the funds when the payment is processed. See How to manage payment methods.
No need to link your bank account. You'll manually transfer funds to pay.com.au from your internet banking. See How to make a payment with PayID.
Step 3 — Make the payment
Go to Make a Payment > Supplier Payment and follow the on-screen prompts. Select your credit card as the payee and your bank account or PayID as the payment method.
Earn Points
Every dollar you repay through pay.com.au earns PayRewards Points. And if you'd rather use points than cash, you can do that too.

Frequently asked questions
Yes — this is one of pay.com.au's most popular redemption options, and one that's unique to the platform. Rather than paying cash and earning points, you can flip it: redeem your existing PayRewards balance to cover the bill instead.
To do this, select Redeem Points when making your BPAY payment through pay.com.au. Your points balance will be applied to the payment value.
No. The BPAY payment is processed as a standard transaction — not a cash advance. Standard purchase interest rates apply rather than cash advance rates.
This depends on the value you place on your points. Many customers find the PayRewards Points earned more than offsets the processing fee — particularly when redeeming into premium airline programs. Processing fees are also generally tax-deductible for businesses.

Standard BPAY processing times apply. Payments are typically received by the card issuer within 1–2 business days. Allow extra time around public holidays. We recommend submitting your repayment a few days before your card's due date to avoid late payment fees.
Log in to your credit card's online banking portal or check a recent statement — the Biller Code and customer reference number are displayed alongside BPAY payment instructions. You can also find them on your card issuer's website or by calling their customer service line.
