Why do I need to complete additional authentication on my payment?
As part of our commitment to keeping your payments secure, we've added a 3D Secure (3DS) check to some card payments. It verifies that the person making the payment is authorised by the cardholder — protecting your business from fraudulent activity.
What do I need to do?
If your payment requires a 3DS check, you'll see a screen at the end of the Make a Payment process with information from your card-issuing bank. You'll typically need to enter a code sent via text or from your banking app to confirm and complete the payment.
If you cancel or exit, your payment will be cancelled and you'll need to re-enter all the details.
I failed the authentication check — what now?
If you timed out or entered the code incorrectly, re-enter your payment details and try again.
If you entered the code correctly, didn't time out, and still failed — contact your bank directly for assistance.
What is 3D Secure (3DS)?
3D Secure is a security standard that adds an extra layer of protection to online credit and debit card transactions. It deters unauthorised card use and helps reduce fraudulent activity and chargebacks.
