Security
Yes — you can disable SMS as a login verification method. Before you do, you'll need to set up at least two alternative methods to keep your account secure and accessible.
Set up alternatives first
You must have at least two other login methods in place before disabling SMS. This ensures you won't be locked out of your account.
Step 1 — Set up your alternatives
Go to Profile Settings > Login & Security and set up at least two of the following:
- 1 An authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy)
- 2 At least one passkey (fingerprint, face ID, or screen lock)
Step 2 — Disable SMS
Once both alternatives are set up, return to Profile Settings > Login & Security and disable SMS verification from that page.
What happens after you disable SMS?
You'll no longer receive login codes via text. Make sure your authenticator app and passkey are working correctly before making the change.
