Does it cost anything to join pay.com.au or the Advisor Program?
No. There is no cost to join pay.com.au or the Advisor Program.
What makes a referral eligible?
Your client must sign up using your unique referral code or link and transact $10k through the platform in their first 30 days.
Where do I find my referral code?
You can find your unique referral code and link in the Refer and Earn section of your pay.com.au dashboard, or you can reach out to your Partner Manager. Simply copy and share your code or link with your clients - any client who signs up using your referral will automatically be linked to you.

What are your platform fees?
There are no mandatory subscription fees. pay.com.au charges a small processing fee on each payment. Fees vary depending on the payment method and whether you’re on a subscription plan. You can find detailed pricing here.
Which accounting software do you integrate with?
pay.com.au integrates with Xero, allowing seamless reconciliation and payment tracking.
What are the tax implications of using pay.com.au?
Platform fees are generally tax-deductible business expenses. Credit card rewards may have tax considerations depending on individual circumstances. Advisors and clients should seek independent tax advice where appropriate.
Do I need to disclose my referral benefit to clients?
Disclosure requirements depend on your professional obligations and regulatory environment. Advisors should ensure they comply with applicable disclosure requirements.
What is the value of points earned?
The value of points depends on the rewards program you transfer your points to, or what reward you are redeeming for. See how many points you could earn using our calculator tool.
What can points be redeemed for?
You can convert your PayRewards Points to our 16+ major airline and hotel rewards partners, including Qantas Business Rewards, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and Qatar Airways Privilege Club. How can I access my clients’ pay.com.au accounts?
If you require access to your client’s account, they will need to first invite you as a user by following the steps outlined in this help centre article.
What user roles and permissions are available?
There are 5 roles currently available: Account Owner, Administrator, Manager, Operator, and View Only. The Account Owner and Administrators have the ability to invite and manage other users. For a full breakdown of the roles and permissions, visit this help centre article.
Am I charged twice on credit card transactions?
No. The credit card fee is applied once per transaction. Clients are not charged twice.
How long do payments take to process?
Payment processing times will vary depending on the payment method used:
- Credit Card – 1 to 2 business days (Authorise prior to 6pm AET (Sydney/Melbourne), Monday to Friday)
- Bank Account (PayTo Enabled) - Same day (Authorise prior to 2pm AET (Sydney/Melbourne), Monday to Friday)
- Bank Account (Standard processing) – 2 to 3 business days (Authorise prior to 7:15pm AET (Sydney/Melbourne), Monday to Friday)
- PayTo & PayID Payments - Same day (Authorised and funds transferred prior to 2pm AET (Sydney/Melbourne), Monday to Friday)
To ensure your bills are paid on time, we recommend that you make payments at least 3 business days (by 6pm AEST) before the payment due date.
What can I pay with American Express?
Through pay.com.au, clients can use American Express to pay suppliers, the ATO and other business expenses, even where American Express is not directly accepted by the supplier.
