How do I set up an authenticator app?

Navigate to Profile > Login and security to link your authenticator app.

In order to keep your account secure, you will need to enter a one-time code every time you login, either sent to you via SMS or from your Authenticator app. You can change your MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) preference while logging in.

Authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator are the most secure and convenient ways to log into your pay.com.au account.

How to set up an authenticator app: 

  1. Download your preferred authenticator app on your mobile device.
  2. Log into your pay.com.au account.
  3. Navigate to Profile > Login and security.
  4. Click Link an authenticator app.
  5. Using your authenticator app, add an account and scan the QR code displayed.
  6. Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app.


Note: If you're logged into pay.com.au on the same device you've installed an authenticator app on, you will be unable to scan the QR code. Instead, select Get a setup key to copy it manually. In your authenticator app, you'll need to enter your login email address and setup key, before continuing with step 6.
