Can I use my Visa Gift Card for recurring payments?

A recurring payment is when you provide your card details for an ongoing payment, and a charge is made to that card on a recurring basis (such as a monthly insurance payment, or a monthly gym membership). Visa doesn’t allow prepaid gift cards to be used for recurring payments. Some online merchants may set up their payment type as “reoccurring payment” Visa Gift Cards have no discretion on what payment type the merchant selects.
