Yes, if you'd prefer to prevent your mobile number being used to log into your account you can disable SMS as a verification method, but there are a few steps to ensure your account remains secure and accessible by you.

1. Set Up Alternative Verification Methods

Before disabling SMS verification, you need to set up at least two different login methods. These can include an authenticator app and at least one passkey. This ensures there are secure ways to access your account without SMS.

2. How to Set Up

To set these up, go to Profile Settings > Login & Security. Follow the prompts to configure an authenticator app and a passkey for your account.

3. Disable SMS Verification

Once you’ve successfully set up both alternatives, you can disable SMS verification from the same Login & Security page.

Important:

Disabling SMS means you can no longer receive codes via text in order to log in. Ensure your alternative methods are set up correctly beforehand.
