Adding and deleting payment methods

Add a payment method 

Card

1. In the main menu, select PayWallet. 

2. Select Add and choose a payment method: Credit Card or Bank Account. 

3. Enter your card or account details. 

4. Select Confirm. 

5. Your payment method is now added, pending verification. 
    

Bank Account

1. In the main menu, select PayWallet. 

2. Select Add and choose a payment method: Bank Account. 

3. Enter your account details.

4. Define a transaction limit

   1. Your transaction limit must be less than your daily limit on your bank account. Contact your bank to find out your daily limit.

   2. This limit will become the transaction limit. You will be able to make unlimited payments, as long as each individual payment is under this transaction limit.

   3. This limit will only be applicable if your account is PayTo enabled.

5. Select Continue:
   a) If an account is PayTo enabled, you will see instructions about how to accept the agreement in your banking application.
   b) If an account is not PayTo enabled, you will be able to add your bank account by following the instructions and connecting to Basiq.

6. On success, the account will appear in the PayWallet.

Verify a payment method 

 
For security purposes, you will need to verify your credit card or bank account before you can use it to make payments.  

Note: Verification amounts can occasionally take some time to appear on your account. Credit card amounts are typically instant. Bank account amounts can take several minutes, and in rare cases up to an hour. This is an automated process that cannot be modified. 

1. In the main menu, select PayWallet. 

2. On the payment method, select Verify Card or Verify Account. 

3. Log into your internet banking and make a note of the verification amounts: 

• Credit Card  - incurs two minimal pending charges (these will be reversed). You may also be prompted here to enter a one time password that will be either sent to your card's mobile application or your phone itself via SMS
• Bank Account - receives two minimal deposits (these will be reversed) 

4. Enter the verification Amounts 1 and 2 in the same order as they appear in your credit card or bank account transaction history of pending payments

5. Select Verify. 

6. Your credit card or bank account is now verified and ready for you to make payments. 

Delete a payment method 

1. In the main menu, select PayWallet.  

2. Select the kebab (3 dots) menu on the payment method you wish to delete. 

3. Select Confirm Delete.
